Closing Remarks
Tustin Ranch Golf Club is a picturesque facility secluded within the community of Tustin, CA. It features a signature Ted Robinson designed golf course that has been named California Golf Course Owner’s Association “CGCOA Course of the Year” as well as having been consistently voted as a best “Orange County Golf Course and Driving Range” by readers of the Orange County Register.
Each of the 18 holes presents new challenges amid tapered fairways, scenic greens, beautiful lakes and bull-nose carved bunkers.
Hole 1 | Par 4

A good starting hole that usually plays into a westerly breeze.
Handicap M:3 W:5
A solid tee shot is necessary to leave a middle iron to the green. Two fairway bunkers should be avoided to hit the green in regulation. The green is very deep, and lengthy putts are very common. The hole plays longer than yardage, so par is excellent.

Blue | 388 |
White | 372 |
Gold | 314 |
Hole 2 | Par 5

A really pleasant par 5.
Handicap M:11 W:3
A good drive puts you near the fairway palm trees. A well-played lay-up iron shot is needed to avoid the lake front of the green. Second shots should be kept left center of fairway for best approach to the large green. If you bogeyed number one, this birdie hole will get you back to even.
Black | 510 |
Blue | 492 |
White | 468 |
Gold | 430 |
Hole 3 | Par 3

Take your par and run.
Handicap M:15 W:15
This par 3 features a very deep but narrow green always affected by a prevailing right-to-left breeze. Tendency is to catch the large bunker left of the green. The two small pot bunkers right of the green are death! Good hole, precise iron shot is needed.
Black | 191 |
Blue | 178 |
White | 163 |
Gold | 144 |
Hole 4 | Par 4

Not too hard of a hole with a short iron second shot.
Handicap M:9 W:11
Short par 4 with a narrowing fairway at the 240 yard mark with a small, deep pot bunker on the left and a large bunker on the right. Both bunkers should be avoided to make par. The split level green is surprisingly deep; with a black flag pin placement you'll require an extra club to get the ball all the way back.

Hole 5 | Par 4

Very short, dogleg left par 4.
Handicap M:17 W:17
Prepare for a multi-tiered green with "sucker" pin placements inviting bogey. There are two hidden traps at the dogleg to avoid. Front pin placements offer birdie chances, but be conservative if the pin is placed upper right.
Black | 339 |
Blue | 318 |
White | 306 |
Gold | 280 |
Hole 6 | Par 3

Good strong par 3 with a large green.
Handicap M:7 W:7
Good strong par 3 that almost always has a prevailing left-to-right breeze pushing tee shots right. The green is large and somewhat domed in the middle, causing difficulty in chipping close. Missing the green way left is impossible and invites double bogey, so miss short or right and get up and down for par.
Black | 206 |
Blue | 191 |
White | 177 |
Gold | 144 |
Hole 7 | Par 4

Bunker heaven; stay centered.
Handicap M:13 W:9
Another par 4 which narrows at the long drive landing area and is framed by three severe pot bunkers on the left and a large, sunken bunker on the right. The green is two tiered and, again, very deep from front to back. Approach shots should be center of the green.
Black | 394 |
Blue | 372 |
White | 348 |
Gold | 274 |
Hole 8 | Par 4

Take a nice long drive.
Handicap M:1 W:13
Strong par 4 where a good drive leaves 175 yards to the fairly flat but large green. A bunker on the right side of the fairway and a large pot bunker on the left frame the narrow fairway at 160 yards in. There are two grass pot bunkers short of the green and a large greenside bunker left to contend with. Hit plenty of club on the second shot!
Black | 451 |
Blue | 413 |
White | 377 |
Gold | 322 |
Hole 9 | Par 5

The Birdie's the word.
Handicap M:5 W:1
Our second par 5 is a three-shot hole with the third shot over a lake onto a two tiered green. After a good drive, lay up with a long iron or fairway wood for a short approach shot. A small bunker right of the green can come into play while the rear bunker rarely does. A good birdie possibility here.
Black | 537 |
Blue | 519 |
White | 489 |
Gold | 446 |
Hole 10 | Par 5

A friendly par 5 for the long ball hitter.
Handicap M:16 W:4
This par 5 is reachable in two shots for the long hitter who can fly the mound on the right side of the fairway. The only trouble is the lake along the left side or the small pot bunker on the right. The approach to the green must contend with a two-tiered putting surface. A nice friendly hole and a good birdie opportunity.
Black | 509 |
Blue | 493 |
White | 480 |
Gold | 434 |
Hole 11 | Par 3

Tustin Ranch's Signature hole.
Handicap M:6 W:10
Our signature hole requires a straight, solid iron shot to a green protected by water on all sides. There's often a westerly breeze from right to left to contend with and the large, and the two tiered green offers some dangerous pin placements. The safe play is to hit one extra club.
Black | 170 |
Blue | 160 |
White | 136 |
Gold | 111 |
Hole 12 | Par 4

The toughest hole on the back 9.
Handicap M:2 W:2
This long par 4 demands a solid tee shot of 240-plus yards while avoiding both fairway bunkers which are 185 yards from the green. The elevated green is surrounded by three bunkers, and the putting surface is very difficult due to undulation. This is definitely the hardest hole to birdie on the course.
Black | 442 |
Blue | 415 |
White | 383 |
Gold | 309 |
Hole 13 | Par 4

Short par 4 to an elevated green.
Handicap M:18 W:16
Here, we start a very charming series of holes which offers scoring opportunities. Thirteen is a short par 4 to an elevated green with three pot bunkers in front. Hit a fairway wood or long iron to the fairway and a lofted iron to a fairly flat green. Good birdie chance here. The creek short of the green is played as a water hazard.
Black | 332 |
Blue | 315 |
White | 301 |
Gold | 280 |
Hole 14 | Par 4

Can you spell bogey?
Handicap M:12 W:12
This medium length par 4 requires a slight draw off the tee. From there, the approach is uphill to a two tiered green with bunkers front-left and right. The hole usually plays downwind and is an uphill second shot. A longer club is often needed. If the pin is on the lower level, avoid putting from the upper tier. This green has bogey written all over it.
Black | 395 |
Blue | 377 |
White | 343 |
Gold | 302 |
Hole 15 | Par 5

Good solid par 5 rarely reached in two shots.
Handicap M:8 W:8
Once driven in the fairway and having avoided the left side bunker, try to hit your second shot to the 150-yard marker. From there, you should make no worse than bogey. The green is large, offering lengthy putts if you've misjudged your approach shot. Birdies can be made when the flag is placed near the front.
Black | 556 |
Blue | 542 |
White | 521 |
Gold | 449 |
Hole 16 | Par 4

Avoid the greenside bunkers.
Handicap M:14 W14
A short par 4 dogleg left asking for a tee shot of 230 yards. Try to keep the tee shot right-center of the fairway so the green is visible for the second shot. The short iron second shot needs only avoid the greenside bunkers to promote a birdie putt. Don't make bogey here.

Blue | 361 |
White | 348 |
Gold | 307 |
Hole 17 | Par 3

Stay true, then go green.
Handicap M:10 W:18
Good par 3, especially from the blue or black tees. Framed by large eucalyptus trees on the creek, the shot must be true to a large friendly green. Left-to-right prevailing breezes tend to push tee shots right bringing the cart path and creek into play. Take your par happily and try #18.
Black | 207 |
Blue | 175 |
White | 151 |
Gold | 119 |
Hole 18 | Par 4

Solid finish into the wind.
Handicap M:4 W:6
Two giant eucalyptus trees are known to occasionally knock down drives leaving long second shots. The left side of the fairway slopes into difficult rough areas. The green is protected in front and left by water and is three tiers deep, sometimes leaving very long putts.
